MONROE - In a meeting Monday, the City of Monroe Public Safety Committee:

• Recommended approval of Main Street St. Patrick's Day Parade, March 17, and Cystic Fibrosis Charity Walk, May 15.

• Recommended a 15-mile-per-hour speed limit and pedestrian crossings on 22nd Avenue near the Monroe Clinic and Hospital.
