MONROE - In a meeting Monday, the City of Monroe Public Safety Committee:
• Recommended to Council to approve special events for Main Street Christmas in July on the Square, from 9 a.m. July 24, to 4 p.m. July 26, in the southeast lot on the Square; and for Potter's House Church Praise in the Park Neighborhood Event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. August 29.
• Approved a no parking zone of about 66 feet on the west side of 1000 block of 7th Avenue.
