MONROE - In a meeting Tuesday, the City of Monroe Judiciary and Ordinance Review Committee:
• Recommended to Council for public hearing and adoption an ordinance repealing Section 10-2-1(A) and creating Section 10-2-8 of the Monroe City Code: School Bus Lights.
• Recommended to Council for public hearing and adoption an ordinance creating Chapter 17 of Title 1 of the Monroe City Code: Official City Logo.
• Discussed city logo and proposed ordinance. Requested City Clerk Carol Stamm and City Attorney Rex Ewald draw up standards for a resolution regarding approving use of city logo for other than official city business.
