• Authorized up to $20,000 in TID No. 7 funds to purchase brown and tan signs pointing people to public parking lots and sign posts for downtown. The committee also approved buying eight bike racks. Both purchases are budgeted items in the downtown streetscape design plan.

• Discussed the upcoming budget process. City Comptroller Cathy Maurer reviewed the process, which starts with department heads preparing their budgets in August. The Finance & Taxation Committee will start its budget work in September with a review of departmental budgets. Committee members will make adjustments with department heads in attendance to answer questions about their budgets and any changes the committee would like to make.
