MONROE - In a meeting Tuesday, the City of Monroe Finance and Taxation Committee:
• Discussed a request from National Historic Cheesemaking Center for $500 membership. Motion made and passed to have a representative from the center present at a future meeting to answer questions from members.
• Discussed annual invoice from Green County Development Corporation. Motion made and passed to deny payment and wait for quarterly invoices.
MONROE - In a meeting Tuesday, the City of Monroe Salary and Personnel Committee:
• Discussed and recommended to council to approve a resolution approving post employment health plan for public employees program for AFSCME Union.
• Discussed and recommend to council to approve a resolution clarifying paid, on-call firefighter benefits and work comp insurance.
• Authorized filling WWTP mechanic position from within union through posting and also approve retroactive pay.
• Removed from agenda the item to approve a policy regarding overtime.
• Discussed and recommended to council to approve hiring Erin Menzel as a part-time occasional dispatcher.
