• Set a public hearing date of Aug. 17 for an ordinance increasing the powers and duties of the Historic Preservation Commission to delegate authority to the building inspector and refining definitions of some terms used in the ordinance.
• Hired Mary Jo Dahmen as recreation department secretary at the probationary union contract rate of $15.61 per hour. She will replace Kathy Meier who resigned for another job.
