MONROE - The City of Monroe was recently awarded state and federal grant money to aid in the purchase of a new handicapped-accessible minivan.

The city is leasing the vehicle to Monroe Cab to use for the transportation of individuals with disabilities.

Monroe Cab is contracted by the City of Monroe to provide shared-ride taxi service for residents.

The new van will help to assure the city's ability to continue to provide a quality, low-cost transportation option for all residents.

To arrange a ride to a medical appointment, to go shopping, or for any other transportation need, please contact Monroe Cab at 608-325-6993.
