Monroe Main Street Design Committee had submitted one quote for about 10 signs from Tapco July 19, and the board requested quotes from two additional companies and asked that signs for 8th and 9th Street be included in the quotes.

Parks Supervisor Paul Klinzing said the project has no "crunch time" to be finished and employees will work on the project as time allows.
Learned from Wastewater Superintendent George Thompson that he had requested proposals from four engineering companies for work on two lift stations at East Terrace and the Lakeside Heights neighborhoods. Alderman Dan Henke, an alternate member on the committee, filled the position left vacant following the resignation of Alderman Mike Rivers last week. He will continue in that capacity until an alderman is appointed by the council to the Ward 9 seat.
