MONROE - At a meeting Monday, the City of Monroe Board of Public Works:

• Approved and recommended to council bills for payment.

• Reviewed and approved permit applications from TDS.

• Reviewed and recommended to council to approve Fehr-Graham's proposal for downtown streetscape project design and construction observation work.

• Discussed and approved a legal agreement with GET Realty, LLC, regarding a canopy and support structure that encroaches in the public right of way. The agreement will allow the posts and canopy to remain until improvements are made. Costs for drafting the agreement and any added costs to downtown construction to shore up the supports will go to the property owner.

• Authorized WWTP Director Jerry Ellefson to sell 1984 IHC dump truck with snowplow to highest bidder for $3,351.

• Discussed and approved purchase of replacement hot water pressure washer for $6,987 for the Street Department.

• Reviewed and accepted quote of $15,016.67 and authorized hiring for work to replace 1,265 feet of four-foot high fencing in Recreation Park.

Alderman Mark Coplien was absent.
