MONROE - In a meeting Monday, the City of Monroe Board of Public Works:
Approved a permit application from Minhas Craft Brewery to install a sign overhanging the public right of way. The City of Monroe Historical Preservation Commission has approved the sign.
Approved payment of bills in the amounts of $10,489.50 from Whitney Tree Service for ice storm damage and regular tree trimming and removal; $728.93 from Green Valley Disposal for February recycling; and $526 from MSA for storm water quality master plan.
Voted to rescind a change order regarding grouting downtown streetlight bases and closed out a contract with Irv's Masonry. The board will look at materials to use around the electrical conduit of streetlights at a later meeting.
Accepted quotes and authorized purchase of traffic paint from The Sherwin Williams Company, Madison, in the amount of $4,893 at $8.60 per gallon for white and at $8.95 per gallon for yellow; and glass spheres from Traffic & Parking Control Company, Elm Grove, in the amount of $1,511.20 at $18.89 per 50-pound bag.
