MONROE - Little ghosts and goblins have the city's stamp of approval to gather treats on Halloween night.
The city council unanimously approved a Halloween parade to be held from 3:30 until 5:30 p.m.. Monday, Oct. 31 in downtown Monroe. The event is sponsored by Main Street Monroe. The parade begins in the 1600 block of 12th Street.
Trick-or-treating in the city begins immediately following the parade, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
