MONROE - Tom Dahmen of Chula Vista Cheese Co. in Browntown was the Grand Champion in the Green County Fair Cheese Contest. He won top honors for his Pepper Quesadilla cheese that earned a score of 99.50.
The cheese auction of the first- through third-place entries will take place in the Hospitality Tent at the Green County Fairgrounds at 1 p.m. Sunday. All auction proceeds go to charitable causes chosen by the Foreign Type Board of Directors.
Judges for the cheese contest were Terry Lensmire, Marianne Smukowski, Michael Pederson and Laura Laehn.
