DARLINGTON - GMA Dove Award-nominated group Go Fish will take the stage at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 23, at the Darlington Festival Grounds.
The concert will wrap up the week-long Vacation Bible School's "Backstage with the Bible" event.
In 2003, Go Fish made the decision to make music primarily for children. The group released "Backstage With the Bible" in 2009, and it became the band's first Vacation Bible School (VBS) curriculum. Over the past few years, the curriculum has been used in more than one thousand churches.
The group not only pairs hymns with their new kids albums, members also create a new VBS curriculum with the album.
Go Fish has four Top 10 Inspirational Christian pop hits, including the number one hit, "Savior." They have released 15 CDs and have made many appearances including with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and with the Will Graham Crusades on the "Today" show.
The Darlington Community of Churches invites children to the "Backstage with the Bible" event, held from June 18 to 22. The host church for this year's VBS is the Darlington United Methodist Church.
