MONROE - "Eine Kleine Kaserei," a 48-minute film showcasing the history of cheese, area authors, residents, master cheesemakers, cheese factories and the complete story of the Imobersteg Cheese Factory, will be featured at a reception and premiere showing Tuesday, June 28 in the Grand Hall at Turner Hall, Monroe.
The show is sponsored by the National Historic Cheesemaking Center and features author Jerry Apps and Swiss Show radio show announcer Martha Bernet, along with other local community citizens who were instrumental in procuring the century-old Imobersteg Cheese Factory.
The evening will be begin at 7 p.m. with a reception and cash bar, followed by the introduction of filmmaker, Bob Leff, in addition to other cheesemaking enthusiasts, prior to the premier showing of the documentary on a big screen.
Arnold Imobersteg, 93 and the donor of the historic Imobersteg Cheese Factory, will be present to autograph copies of the DVD that will be available at the event.
The event is open to the public.
