MONROE - Green County Cheese Days is offering an area for commercial vendors to sell items or promote their businesses at tables or booths during the festival planned for Sept. 14-16.
Booths are adjacent to the festival grounds in the Monroe Library Parking Lot, and sit on asphalt. The cost to reserve space is $175 per space, or $100 per space for non-profit organizations (proof of non-profit status is required).
The booth size is about 12 feet wide by 10 feet deep with no electricity available. Booths will be available beginning at 5 p.m. Friday evening through 6 p.m. Sunday. There are two time options for set-up: after 5 p.m. Friday night or anytime Saturday morning prior to 9 a.m. All materials must be removed by 7 p.m. Sunday.
Hours of operation are from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Vendors are responsible for their own tables, chairs, canopies/tents and weights, and there is no drilling allowed.
Businesses and vendors that will be accepted as commercial vendors include independent distributors (Avon, Tupperware, Shaklee, etc.), flea market/resale, cell phone companies, antique dealers, service businesses (home improvements, insurance) and any business or organization wishing to promote their products or services.
Commercial vendor spaces that are not allowed include clothing promoting the festival; hand-crafted items; arts and crafts; farmer's market items; and garden produce. Cheese Days already sell these items or offers other spaces for those categories. Also not allowed is food or beverage stands with exceptions including recipe ingredients or pre-packaged food items that can be consumed at a later time. Examples of food items that are allowed include dip mixes, dried fruits in packages, jerky shrink-wrapped in packs, energy drinks or health supplements in cans or bottles, or roasted nuts in packages.
