MONROE - Mayor Bill Ross proclaimed Tuesday, July 16, as Green Bay Packers Day in Monroe and issued a proclamation to thank the Packers for the donation of playground equipment in Lincoln Park.

A proclamation plaque will be sent to the Packers, along with root beer and sodas donated by Minhas Craft Brewery and cheeses donated by Alp and Dell.

Common Council members remained after the council meeting Tuesday to pose for a group picture and to view a slideshow of the Packers building the $40,000 playground equipment on May 16 in the park.
