Celebrating Our Past: National Historic Cheesemaking Center

During the 1920s, 10-gallon milk cans came into common use by dairy farmers. They were delivered to cheese factories by some farmers using a Model T truck. Delivering milk to a local factory every morning was quite time consuming and handling the 100-pound cans of milk was hard work. (Photo supplied by the National Historic Cheesemaking Center)
