Celebrating Our Past: Green County Historical Society
37197a.jpg
This is another unknown street, probably from Monroe, which was made from one of the glass negatives in the collection of items donated from the Albert and Marion Deppeler estate. The Green County Historical Society tries to document the history of Green County with an emphasis on Monroe history. These photos are much more valuable when the location is known. If you locate the houses in this photograph or if you have any old photographs of the Monroe area that could be copied and used in future publications, contact Matt Figi at mfigi48@tds.net or 325-6503. The museum located at 1617 9th St., Monroe, will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday afternoons through September. (Photo supplied by the Green County Historical Society)
