MONTICELLO - A canning and food preservation workshop will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21 at the Zwingli United Church of Christ, 416 E. Lake Ave.
The workshop, which is sponsored by Green County UW-Extension Master Food Preserves and the Green County 4-H Foods Committee, will be hands-on class where participants learn methods of food preservation, including pressure canning.
Up-to-date UW Extension food preservation publications with a variety of recipes and explanations of canning and other food preservation techniques, will be available.
The cost per family is $5 for 4-H members, $15 for the general public without publications and $25 with publications.
