What are the top issues facing this district/board and how would you work to resolve them?
The top issue facing virtually every rural school district is sufficient funding to meet the responsibility of providing a quality education to our students. If Argyle school enrolled all the eligible students in the district our financial picture would be strengthened. We need to retain the students we have and actively seek to meet the needs of parents who are choosing to homeschool or enroll their children elsewhere.
What are other key issues facing the district/board, and how would you work to resolve them?
In adding two new seats to the Argyle board, there is a key opportunity to bring new ideas and voices to the table or form committees to study issues and bring recommendations back to the board. As difficult decisions are under consideration, the board should be proactive in soliciting public input.
Why are you the best candidate for this office?
I am willing and able to work with anyone to generate ideas and propose solutions to the issues which will be facing the board.
