What are the top issues facing this board and how would you work to resolve them?
The N Monroe St construction project is top priority right now as it will be very costly to taxpayers but it also is a much needed, long overdue project. Making sure this project is within cost limits, done timely, and according to specs is critical so it will last a very long time. Another costly project will be upgrading the wastewater treatment plant due to DNR's mandates on phosphorus limits. Staying informed is essential to understanding what the Village's requirements will be for updates/options/costs.
What are other key issues facing the board, and how would you work to resolve them?
It is important to work closely with all local organizations to keep our Community attractive as local organizations work hard and contribute an abundance of funds to this Village to build and maintain many lake and park projects that tax dollars cannot afford. I would like to see representatives of local organizations communicate more with the Village Board so that we can all work together.
Why are you the best candidate for this office?
I am semi-retired with time to research and work on projects. I have lived and worked in the Village since 1976. I am a retired fireman and first responder, served on the school board, helped the Vietnam Veterans build their monument, worked on several park projects, and have worked with most of the local organizations on many projects throughout the years. I would like to continue serving the Village as Trustee.
