What are the top issues facing this district/municipality and how would you work to resolve it?

The Green County Concentrated Animal Facility Operation (CAFO) study group will be bringing recommendations to the County Board this spring. These recommendations will lay the path for the Land & Water Committee, Zoning, Health and perhaps UW-Extension to help the citizens of Green County protect our natural resources, safety locate CAFOs, protect the health of our residents and educate landowners on the importance of sustainable farming practices. We need to work together to maintain our agriculture base in the county.

Fully staffing our County UW-Extension office is an urgency. Our County Board needs to advocate to the State to maintain our expected level of service.

What are other key issues facing the district/municipality, and how would you work to resolve them?

Road and bridge maintenance. Funding and prioritizing our projects is a necessity. The use of a county wheel tax could go solely toward fixing roadways and bridges that are the county's obligation to fix.

Holding property taxes in balance and keeping a watchful eye on our spending to maximum the services we can provide to the County residents.
