What are the top issues facing this district/municipality and how would you work to resolve it?

Browntown has the same problems as many small communities in the area. Our infrastructure is in a state of deterioration due to aging and neglect. Our equipment is in need of repair or replacement. Our tax base is limited and other sources of funding (State and Federal Grants/loans) are becoming more difficult to obtain.

I intend to identify the most critical issues and with the aid of the Village Trustees and residents move forward to correct these problems. New sources of funding will be explored and every effort will be made to put each dollar where it will bring the greatest benefit to the Community.

What are other key issues facing the district/municipality, and how would you work to resolve them?

I believe one of the major issues is Community cohesion. Browntown has become a "bedroom Community." Many younger families have moved into the Village and work and go to School elsewhere. A strong community bond has not as yet developed leading to a lack of participation in Community affairs. I will make a sincere effort to encourage greater citizen participation in Community affairs.

Why are you the best candidate for this office?

I can't answer that. Each of us has our own idea of how to proceed. If elected the next two years of my term of office will determine the answer.
