What are the top issues facing this district/board and how would you work to resolve them?

Budgeting and fiscal responsibility are issues the county continually grapples with in a time of limited resources vs. providing quality services to the residents of Green County. It is a give-and-take process that requires a great deal of time, consideration, effort, input and feedback from everyone.

What are other key issues facing the district/board, and how would you work to resolve them?

One of the key issues facing the county is the operation of Pleasant View Nursing/Rehab facility. A countywide referendum is planned later this year to raise the tax levy by $790,000 annually for a five-year period through 2019. At the same time, we are investigating alternative ways to lower the facility's dependence on the county tax levy.
