What are the top issues facing this board/council and how would you resolve them?
Fire Department: Working with Fire Department, Fire Department oversight committee, City Council, Rural Board. Studying the issues to determine what will work best for all involved. This is our opportunity to make a great fire department even better.
With the possibility of Shopko coming to town, we need to work to keep our existing businesses successful. We are working with the Chamber of Commerce, B.I.D. Board, and our economic development committee.
Promoting economic development. We have T.I.F. districts in place and are ready for development when the economy turns around. We have opened up new streets and purchased land to open up areas on the north and south side of town for development.
Promoting Brodhead as a great place to live, work, shop, eat, and enjoy. Work with all organizations to promote tourism in our area.
