What are the top issues facing this district/board and how would you work to resolve them?
The financial state of Browntown is first and foremost. With the dwindling funds and requirements from the state, it will take creative thinking and hard decision-making to keep the village moving forward. We need to make cuts and start thinking of areas of the budget we can trim. We also need to invite the public for the input and ideas.
What are other key issues facing the district/board, and how would you work to resolve them?
Back taxes, delinquent water/sewer bills, are also a concern for our village. People need to know that we will work with them, but there will 100 percent accountability. The board needs to follow through on tough decisions, an show no bias. Prioritizing the needs of village will also be a hurdle for the board.
Why are you the best candidate for this office?
I have lived in Browntown for 23 years, and have always had a connection to the village. The people that live in town are a special group of citizens. Everybody knows each other and comes together in times of hardships. I would like to help keep the community together and growing. We need people who have common sense, honesty, creative thinking, and complete transparency on the board. I love to talk to people and get their views and opinions. I will give the village 100 percent.
