What are the top issues facing this district/municipality and how would you work to resolve them?
Two top issues are dealing with possible state budget cuts to public education and keeping our facilities in good repair. I'm interested in advocating for our schools at the Capitol and helping our district find ways to finance upkeep.
What are other key issues facing the district/municipality, and how would you work to resolve them?
We need to continue seeking ways to improve what we offer in our curriculum and work at encouraging girls' interest in STEM. I would help research methods to do both and be a strong supporter for our students and staff.
Why are you the best candidate for this office?
I am not running for school board because I see many problems that need to be "fixed." There are certainly challenges to keeping our schools great and I'd like to be part of meeting those challenges. I'm running because I care about our students and staff and want to serve my community.
