Business Brief: Faun Phillipson elected to banks' board of directors

NEW GLARUS - Faun Phillipson was voted into a board seat for both the Bank of New Glarus and Sugar River Bank branches and Bancorp of New Glarus Inc. at the January 2016 board meeting.

Phillipson is replacing Jane Phillipson as director.

Faun Phillipson is an active member of the New Glarus and Green County communities. She is a partner and founding member of Phillipson and Uretsky LLP, a law firm with offices in New Glarus, New York City and Newark, New Jersey.

Additionally, Phillipson is vice president of the Green County Bar Association, sits on the board of directors for the Swiss Center of North America and on the State Bar of Wisconsin Office of Lawyer Regulation Preliminary Review Committee (District 12), acts as an English tutor for the Green County Literacy Council and coaches the New Glarus High School mock trial team.

Phillipson graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts and earned her Juris Doctorate from Yeshiva University in 1999. She has since earned many notable awards and certificates, including bar admissions in New York (2000) and Wisconsin (2007).
