TOWN OF CADIZ - A Browntown man was injured and flown to University of Wisconsin-Madison on Wednesday after being ejected from a motorcycle.

Rudi Jansen, 49, Browntown, was southbound in the N2400 block of County M at about 4 p.m. when he lost control and entered the ditch, according to a Green County Sheriff's Department news release. Jansen was injured in the one-motorcycle crash and transported by Green County EMS to Monroe Clinic Hospital and later transported by Medflight to Madison for treatment.

Jansen was wearing a helmet with eye protection at the time of the crash. Speed appears to be a contributing factor in the crash, according to the release. The motorcycle was moderately damaged and was towed from the scene.

Deputies and the Browntown Fire Department assisted at the scene.
