MEDFORD - A Browntown man was charged April 20 with sexual exploitation of a child in Taylor County after he posed as a teenager to solicit nude photographs of a teenage girl.
Eric Lee Beckman, 47, faces a Class C felony count of child sexual exploitation after a months-long investigation into a series of online conversations Beckman had with a Taylor County teenager.
Beckman reportedly posed as a 19-year-old pig farmer named Tommy Lee Holmes and began communicating with an underage girl in August of 2015. After a few months, "Holmes" requested nude photos of the girl.
When the girl sent photos of herself, Beckman reportedly sent nude photos of a man to her.
Beckman also sent the girl a tablet to use to communicate with him. The package did not have a return address.
The Taylor County Sheriff's Department began investigating "Holmes" in 2015 and eventually identified Beckman as the man in communication with the girl.
Beckman signed a $5,000 signature bond with conditions that he have no contact with the victim and not leave Wisconsin or Illinois.
His maximum possible sentence is 25 years in prison.
