MONROE — A Browntown man was arrested for his 5th charge of operating while under the influence after a motorcycle crash on Thursday, May 23.

The crash happened just before 12:45 p.m. in the W9000 block of Wis. 11 in the Town of Cadiz, according to a statement from the Green County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies, along with Green County EMS personnel and Browntown Fire Department, responded to the scene on reports of a single-vehicle crash there.

“Investigation revealed that a motorcycle operated by Douglas B. Scace, 53 of Browntown, was traveling eastbound when the motorcycle left the roadway and entered the ditch,” the statement said. “Scace was reported to be wearing eye protection and sustained non-life-threatening injuries.”

Scace, the sheriff’s office added, was initially held in Green County Jail. Scace was found guilty of his fourth OWI charge, a felony, in Lafayette County in 2020, according to court records.
