MONROE - A brother and sister from Fennimore were charged this week with smuggling prescription pills into the Green County Jail.
Jaime B. Vogt, 19, is charged with delivering 80 pills to her brother, Robert B. Vogt, 20, while he was on Huber Law work release from the jail on Jan. 10.
He then allegedly smuggled the pills in his rectum to get them past the security check at the jail.
She faces a Class H felony charge of delivering a prescription drug and misdemeanor charges of possessing a controlled substance and encouraging or aiding in a parole violation.
He faces misdemeanor charges of possessing an illegally obtained prescription and violating a jail rule that inmates not possess prescription medication.
The smuggled pills included 35 tablets of the anti-psychotic Seroquel, 37 tablets of the antidepressant amitriptyline and eight tablets of the muscle relaxant zolpidem (commonly known as Ambien), according to the criminal complaints filed Tuesday, Nov. 13.
The siblings have an initial appearance in court scheduled Dec. 17.
