MONROE - A Brodhead man signed a $100,000 cash bond Monday, Sept. 10, on felony charges that he repeatedly sexually assaulted a young girl over the past four years.

Antonio Gonzalez Robles, 26, was arrested last Friday, Sept. 7, at the dairy farm west of Brodhead where he works. He remains in jail on a Class B felony charge of repeated sexual assault of the same child and a Class D felony charge of child enticement.

The criminal complaint alleges he had vaginal and anal intercourse with an 8-year-old girl at a residence in the N3100 block of County OK in the Town of Decatur.

The assaults reportedly started in 2008, about a month before the girl's fourth birthday, and continued until this summer, occurring in the girl's bedroom, in her mother's bedroom, in a playroom and in the barn.

Gonzalez Robles also allegedly enticed the girl into the barn for sex by telling her they would go feed the kittens there.

The girl told investigators he threatened to kill her and her family if she told on him.

The state is seeking lifetime supervision of Gonzalez Robles as a serious sex offender.

Local authorities also reported the felony charges to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Gonzalez Robles told investigators he is not a U.S. citizen or here legally, but has been living in the Brodhead area about five years.

Investigators report confirming his identity using the Mexican ID card he carries.

State court records show no previous criminal history for Gonzalez Robles in Wisconsin besides several convictions of driving without a valid license. In October 2010, a domestic abuse-related restraining order was in effect against him for about two weeks.

A preliminary hearing of Gonzalez Robles' sexual assault case is scheduled Sept. 18.
