MONROE — A 22-year-old Brodhead man is facing felony charges of child enticement, sexual assault and burglary after alleged sexual encounters with two teenage girls in an abandoned house.
At a preliminary hearing Nov. 13 in Green County Circuit Court, Mason Thomas Obermann stood mute on three Class C felony counts of second-degree sexual assault of a child, three Class D felony counts of child enticement, a Class F felony count of burglary and a misdemeanor count of sexual intercourse with a child age 16 or older.
He signed a $2,500 signature bond with conditions that he have no contact with the girls, their residences or with females younger than 18. His next date in court is a pre-trial conference Jan. 15.
According to the criminal complaint, the alleged acts occurred in August at his apartment on 1st Center Avenue and in an unoccupied house in the 600 block of West 3rd Avenue in Brodhead.
State court records show no criminal record for Obermann.
