JUDA — A rural Juda man was arrested on a charge of possessing child pornography after police executed a search warrant on his home at about 6 a.m. Friday, May 10, according to Green County Sheriff Jeff Skatrud.

Shad Joseph Hanson, 21, of N1921 Brunkow Rd., had been under investigation for about three months. During the search of Hanson's home, officers seized computer devices capable of accessing the internet, Skatrud said.

The Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force worked with local detectives on the case.

"It's a joint investigation. Typically what happens is they'll get the tip and they'll forward it to our office. Some of our officers have received training in (internet crimes against children)," Skatrud said. Skatrud did not know what specifically tipped law enforcement to Hanson.

The investigation into Hanson is ongoing. He was jailed pending court.

State court records show no criminal history for Hanson in Wisconsin.
