WOODFORD - The 36th annual Bloody Lake Rendezvous will be held Tuesday through May 7 at Black Hawk Memorial Park outside of Woodford.
The pre-1840 encampment will replicate the sights, sounds and smells of life almost 200 years ago.
Shooting competitions and archery contests will be held, along with hawk and knife throwing, with traders and food vendors present.
The event is held rain or shine and is open to spectators from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 6, with children's games in the morning, and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 7. No pets are allowed with visitors. Weekend spectators may attend for $2. Ages 12 and under, boy scouts in uniform and military members are free. The fee goes toward preserving the historic park.
