Monroe resident Sheri Novak, who works at Swiss Colony and is a church organist, talks about her best friends, 2-year-old cat siblings Cecil (orange and white) and Felix (black and white).

Novak got the two cats from a friend of a friend in Oneco not long after her dog and previous cat died.

Describe Felix and Cecil's personalities.

Cecil is a little on the slow side. He's not quite as quick as Felix, but he's calmer. Felix is more revved up and a ball of fire. They'll kiss each other and wash each other and the next moment they're trying to kill each other like crazy. I always say they're like teenage boys.

What do you like to do together?

I showed a friend a picture of my cat kneading my chest. It's just a hoot. They give free massages. Sometimes I'll watch them chase the laser light.

What has it been like having Cecil and Felix in your life?

Fun and full of activity. You just have to have a cat. Everybody needs one. They know my voice, and if I say their names, they come running.
