Jesse Anderson, a nanny who resides in New Glarus, talks about her best friend Jupiter, a 1-year-old husky.
Anderson grew up with dogs. She has always liked bigger, fluffier ones and really wanted a husky. She got Jupiter from a man in Browntown and came up with the name while watching the movie "Jupiter Ascending."

Describe Jupiter's personality.
She's sassy. All of my friends are like "your dog is so Goth. She just doesn't care." She's a super big mama's girl. She follows me around everywhere at home. She's a total love bug, but she wants to love you on her own time. She loves to play and relax. She gives zero cares, except for Greenies - she'll do some crazy stuff for a Greenie.
What do you and Jupiter like to do together?
We love to go for walks. It doesn't matter if the weather is this cold we walk on the Badger State Trail in New Glarus in the morning and at night. We walk three to four miles every day. In the summer she loves to swim. We like to go to Devil's Lake. There's also a trail in Lodi by Lake Wisconsin we go to. She loves to be outside. My aunt and uncle have a farm with lots of animals like cows and horses and she loves to go out there, she's eats that up. She also loves to watch Dancing with the Stars and she'll tilt her head to the side when we're watching it.
What has it been like have Jupiter in your life?
She's taught me patience, especially when she was puppy and she was a major escape artist. I didn't want to kennel her but it didn't matter what kind of barrier I used she'd figure out how to escape. I normally I would never go on a walk when it's this cold but she's really made my life more active. She's also the best cuddler.
