Adam Coulthard of Lena, mill and purchasing manager at Honey Creek Feed Mill, talks about his best friend Bella, an 8-year-old black Lab.

Shortly after he married his wife, Courtney, the couple got Bella from a family in Lena who had a litter of purebred Labs. They wanted a dog, especially since Courtney never had one growing up. They picked a Lab because they were looking for a dog with a good temperament with kids.
Describe Bella's personality.

She's still a puppy. She likes playing Frisbee and getting into the garbage can. She loves meeting people and is very friendly. She's our welcome person here (at the mill).

What do you and Bella like to do

together?

Play Frisbee. She likes to go for walks and car rides. She rides with me any time I have to haul anything. She likes going to my parents' house and running around the timber and just being outside.

What has it been like having Bella in your life?

It's been a joy. It's like having a little kid. We have three already and she's very tolerant and loving toward them. She's been good for them. She gives them responsibility, and she likes giving kisses. She's 8 years old and still a big puppy.
