WEST ALLIS - It's been a good summer for Belleville's Breinne Hendrickson.
Crowned in June as the Green County Dairy Queen, Hendrickson earned another honor Friday. The Dayton Dairylanders 4-H Club member exhibited the Grand Champion Holstein Cow of the Junior Show at the Wisconsin State Fair.
Hendrickson, the daughter of Jeff and Kate Hendrickson of Belleville, will be in the 2008 Governor's Dairyland Youth Celebration at 2 p.m. today in the Wisconsin State Fair Coliseum.
A Golden Gallon of Milk from the Supreme and Reserve Supreme Champion females, as well as an item representing the Supreme Champion showperson in the Junior Dairy Show, will be sold via auction. All other breed champion females will be represented by a breed association gift basket in the Governor's Dairyland Youth Celebration silent auction. All age division showmanship winners also will be represented with an item in the silent auction.
The exhibitor receives 40 percent of the proceeds. The remaining proceeds are split evenly by the 4-H endowment fund, the Wisconsin State Fair Dairy Promotion Committee and the Wisconsin State Fair Park Youth Foundation
