SOUTH WAYNE - A South Wayne man died after his all-terrain vehicle left the road and hit a culvert at about 8:45 p.m. Thursday on Larse Road in Wayne township.
Brett Baumgartner, 19, was driving an ATV south bound on Larse Road when the ATV left the road and hit a culvert, according to information released Monday by Jon King, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources warden.
He was taken by Med-Flight to the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, where he was pronounced dead Friday.
The South Wayne Fire Department, South Wayne First Responders, Green County Emergency Medical Services, the Lafayette County Sheriff's Department and the DNR assisted at the scene, King said.
The incident remains under investigation.
