NEW GLARUS - The 54th annual fine art and craft fair "Art in the Park" in New Glarus will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 4.
Juried artists will sell their wares, including pottery, paintings, jewelry, photography and more.
The event includes artists and craftsmen from Wisconsin and surrounding states and is a great opportunity to experience fine arts and crafts in a casual outdoor venue. The flavor of Switzerland and Swiss cuisine can be experienced at the many restaurants.
The day will include food, a children's creative area, and blues and rock and roll music provided by guitarist/singer/songwriter Greg Boerner.
The celebratory 79th presentation of the drama "Wilhelm Tell," featuring Swiss folk dancing, music and live animals in a natural outdoor amphitheater, also will take place. Families can enjoy everything from a children's lantern parade to a yodel contest.
