DARLINGTON — An Argyle man was sentenced June 19 in Lafayette County Circuit Court to 12 months in jail and three years on probation for his fifth drunk driving conviction.

Brian Eric Johnson, 34, pleaded no contest in February to the Class G felony charge of operating while intoxicated. His driver’s license is revoked three years and he owes over $1,700 in court fines and other fees.

Conditions of his probation include successful completion of the Lafayette County OWI Court. He has a plea and sentencing hearing in August for a separate felony bail jumping case.

The 5th OWI conviction stems from his arrest May 4, 2019, after police responded to a complaint at a business on Main Street in Darlington.
