Alliant Energy to update its electric system in Juda
Construction_tapemeasure

JUDA — Alliant Energy is upgrading its electric system in the Village of Juda as part of a voltage conversion project, which will improve the reliability of the local power grid.

The Michels Construction and Intercon crews started working May 21 in Juda. Michels construction crews are replacing poles, wires and transformers.

Intercon construction crews are replacing the underground electric cable and doing the restoration work. To minimize excavation, they will use directional drilling as much as possible.

Outages will be scheduled with customers during both of these projects when needed, with planned outages expected through early fall 2019 so work can be completed safely. Phone messages will be left with residents in advance letting them know the date, time and expected duration of the outages.

Customers should make sure Alliant has correct contact information by updating contact information online at alliantenergy.com/myaccount, through the Alliant mobile app, which can be downloaded at the App Store and Google Play store, or by calling 1-800-ALLIANT, or 800-255-4268.
