ALBANY - Albany High School seniors received hands-on assistance in applying to colleges during the school's Wisconsin Students Go 2 College event Wednesday.

Fourteen seniors participated in the event, held in the school's computer lab.

During the event, 24 college applications were submitted by the students, with the help of several volunteers, including teachers, a board member and an admission representative from a local college.

Students and staff across the district supported the event by wearing college T-shirts or sweatshirts during the day. During the previous month, teachers and staff members displayed where they went to college and what degrees they received by hanging banners on their classroom doors and offices.

The event was a success and positive feedback was received from the students who participated.
