The Monroe Board of Public Works will meet at 4:30 p.m. at the westside fire station. Agenda items include an overview of the youth in government program and introductions and authorization of an urban forestry grant application.

The Monroe Public Safety Committee will meet at 4:50 p.m. at the westside fire station. Agenda items include consideration of special event permit and the removal of a no parking zone in the 1400 block of 10th Street.

The Darlington Community School District Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the board meeting room at the elementary/middle school. Agenda items include discussion of policies, curriculum and personnel.

The Town of Sylvester Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Town Hall.



Tuesday, September 20

The Village of New Glarus Design Review Committee will meet at 8 a.m. in the Village Hall boardroom, 319 2nd St., New Glarus. Agenda items include discussion of Swiss design review applications for Hinterstaedtli and Brenda's Blumenladen.

The Historic Preservation Commission will meet at 1:30 p.m. at the westside fire station. Agenda items include a certificate of appropriateness for Thrivent Financial and a report from the building inspector regarding the Historic Preservation District.

The Green County Finance and Accounting Committee will meet at 5 p.m. in the first floor conference room, Green County Courthouse, Monroe, for the 2017 budget process review and department hearings.

The Monroe Finance and Taxation Committee will meet at 6:55 p.m. at the westside fire station. Agenda items include an agreement with Associated Appraisal Consultants Inc. for assessment services and new software for the agendas and video management for city meetings.

The Village of New Glarus Board will meet at 7 p.m. in the Village Hall boardroom, 319 2nd St., New Glarus.

The Monroe License Committee will meet at 7:20 p.m. at the westside fire station. Agenda items include a temporary beverage license for the fall nationals tractor pull.

The Monroe Common Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the westside fire station. Agenda items include discussion of creating a budget oversight committee and a resolution setting the salaries for mayor and aldermen.
