The Green County Local Emergency Planning Committee will meet at 9 a.m. at Badger State Ethanol, 820 West 17th St., Monroe. Agenda items include nomination of new members and a review of the hazardous material strategic plan.  

The Lafayette County Commission on Aging Advisory Committee will meet at 1 p.m. in the Aging & Disability Resource Center, 15701 County K, Darlington. Agenda items include the introduction of guest and prospective COA advisory board member Carrie Shippy and discussion and possible action on the SUN Program report.

The Lafayette County Human Services Committee will meet at 5:15 p.m. Agenda items include closed session at the request of the Lafayette County Human Services Director to discuss the account clerk’s retirement and ongoing social worker’s wage increase. 

The Village of New Glarus Public Library Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the New Glarus Village Hall board room, 319 2nd St. Agenda items include discussion and consideration for the library building project and discussion and consideration on the policy for information requests.

The Blackhawk Technical College Board will meet at 5 p.m. in the Advanced Manufacturing Training Center, room 219, 15 Plumb St., Milton. Agenda items include a review of the financial statement and an update on the Public Safety & Transportation Training Center project.


Thursday, September 19

The Green County Traffic Safety Commission will meet at 1 p.m. in the Green County Sheriff’s Department training room, 2827 6th St., Monroe. Agenda items include a request for a flashing stop sign at the intersection of Wis. 39 and County J and a request for a truck entrance sign on Wis. 81 at Klondike Cheese. 

The Lafayette County Highway Safety Committee will meet at 10 a.m. in the Ames Multipurpose Building, 11974 Ames Road. Agenda items include discussion and possible action on state and county highway concerns including school crosswalks on Wis. 78  in Blanchardville. 

The Green County Development Corporation Board of Directors will meet at 7:30 a.m. in the Green County Courthouse. Agenda items include updates on the revolving loan fund and the executive leadership breakfast.
