• The Monroe City Finance and Taxation Committee will meet at 5 p.m. at City Hall. Agenda items include discussing bonding and financing for the 8th/9th Street project and proposed westside fire station, and possibly taking action.

• The Monroe City Common Council will meet at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall. Agenda items include discussing a proposed westside fire station and possibly authorizing the fire chief to seek bids.

TUESDAY, DEC. 1

• The Monroe Main Street Promotion Committee will meet at 5:30 p.m. at Turner Hall. Agenda items include 2010 committee member recommendations.

• The Monroe City License Committee will meet at 7 p.m. at City Hall. Agenda items include discussing and recommending to Council to approve a "Class A" Fermented Malt Beverage and Liquor License for Zgraggen Enterprise LLC.

• The Monroe City Insurance Committee will meet at 7:10 p.m. at City Hall. Agenda items include discussing and recommending to Council to approve an optional voluntary dental insurance plan for employee (all premiums to be paid by employees).

• The Monroe Common Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall. Agenda items include a roll call vote on the authorization for the fire chief to seek bids for a proposed westside fire station.

WEDNESDAY, DEC. 2

• The Housing Authority for the City of Monroe will meet at 4 p.m. in the community room at Churchill Woods Apartments, 800 13th Ave. Agenda items include Keith Schultz from Schultz-Werk Architecture, Inc., to speak about the new elevator project.

THURSDAY, DEC. 3

• The Monroe City Common Council will meet at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall. Agenda items include a closed session to discuss candidates, compensation and contract for the Administrator with Legal Duties position, and an open session for a roll call vote on a resolution approving an employment agreement for the same position.
