6 candidates win uncontested races

MONROE - Green County had three uncontested races for the mid-term elections.

Green County Sheriff incumbent Mark Rohloff of the Town of Jefferson won with 12,045 votes. Rohloff was appointed to the sheriff's position last year and has served in law enforcement for 34 years. There were 244 write-in votes.

Green County Coroner incumbent Kristen Hasse of Monroe Township won with 12,032 votes. Hasse has held the coroner position for three years. There were 161 write-in votes.

Green County Clerk of Circuit Court incumbent Barbara Miller of Monroe had 11,830 votes. Miller was appointed as county clerk this year. There were 151 write-in votes.

Lafayette County also had three uncontested races for the same positions.

Lafayette County Clerk of Circuit Court incumbent Catherine M. McGowan of the Town of Darlington won with 5,235 votes. McGowan has held the position of clerk since 1997. There were 14 write-in votes.

Lafayette County Sheriff candidate Reg Gill of Cuba City won with 5,664 votes. Gill has not previously held an elected position but has worked at the Lafayette County Sheriff's office for 15 years. There were 39 votes.

Lafayette County Coroner candidate Linda J. Gebhardt won with 4,761 votes. Gebhardt has never held an elected position but has worked in the coroner's office since 1990. There were 289 write-in votes.
