NEW GLARUS - Two New Glarus men and three juveniles have been referred to the Green County District Attorney's office in connection to a series of car break-ins between June 16 and July 23.
Anthony M. Bell, 19, and Michael J. Boroczk, 17, both of New Glarus, have been referred to the district attorney's office for 20 counts of theft, entry into a locked vehicle, receiving stolen property and contributing to the delinquency of a child.
No formal charges have been filed against either of the two men. Neither of them were arrested.
The district attorney's office will review the police reports before it files any charges. The office hasn't reviewed any of the reports.
Three males, ages 14, 15 and 16, all from New Glarus, also have been referred to juvenile intake authorities on several counts of theft, receiving stolen property and entry into a locked vehicle.
Several items, including navigation systems, compact discs, purses and DVD players were taken from vehicles parked in New Glarus between June 16 and July 23.
New Glarus police officers are working with other agencies to determine if the five were involved with thefts in other communities.
